Hassett: Trump will decide if trading deals are 'great' enough

United States National Economic Council Director Kevin Haslett told Foxiness on Monday that while many countries have the White House to offer trading deals after the reciprocal tariffs were announced last week, US President Donald Trump will determine which deals are "great enough" to negotiate with.

"After decades and decades of mistreating American workers, it's going to be tough to get him [Trump] to decide to really come to the table and sign on the dotted line," Haslett said, adding that Trump's policies like this helped American people in his last term and that the US president is "doubling down on something that he knows works."

Haslett also commented on the billionaires, JPMorgan Chase & Co Chief Executive Officer Jamie  and hedge fund manager Bill Ackman,  Trump's tariffs, and stated that Trump's policies are "making the US stronger" and warned that Ackman's idea of an economic nuclear winter is a "completely irresponsible rhetoric."
